Mr Peter Evans is a specialist in the area of Liver, Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery, and laparoscopic upper abdominal surgery. After completing his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and his General Surgery training at the Alfred Hospital, he undertook further training and completed the fellowship in HPB surgery a t the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. He has a Graduate certificate in Clinical Research Methods from Monash University.
Mr Evans is the Head of the HPB Surgical Service at the Alfred Hospital. He is also an HPB Surgeon with the Upper GI Surgery Unit at Peninsula Hospital, Frankston. He is a Senior Lecturer in Surgery at Monash University and is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and research. He is an instructor at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Mr Evans is a council member of the Australia & New Zealand HPB Association, and a member of the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group and the International HPB Association.
